Japan’s post-tsunami energy plan has LNG producers jumping for joy

The Fukishima disaster has not been forgotten. As the nation revamps its energy plans, countries around the world are also looking to reduce their dependence on nuclear energy as well.

From here, LNG producers are jumping in glee especially in Australia, which provides 20% of Japan’s natural gas.

With such strong investment in Australian gas products such as Ichthys, Wheatstone and Browse, the Aussie gas industry will be booming.

The Japanese government is looking at gas to be the main source of energy with a decline in nuclear energy for the years ahead.
