The right extraction technique for any reservoir depend on size of the reservoir, the petroleum politics and strategies of the operating company, past projects and the history of operating techniques for similar projects

20 years ago we were talking about ways to enhance oil recovery but it did not catch on at the time. Nowadays, the whole world is witnessing the depletion of natural resources and therefore EOR is now of interest to both exporting and importing countries.
