Mark Rivenbark, Director, Eastern Hemisphere, Packers Plus Energy Services spoke at Shale Gas World Asia 2011 on Living in the golden age of gas: How horizontal drilling, hydraulic fracturing and completions technologies paved the way for the shale gas boom.
Mark Rivenbark has over 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry, having began his career on Alaska’s North Slope as a completions engineer. He is widely recognized for his experience with multi-lateral and intelligent well completions as well as expandable tubular technology. He has extensive experience in the Middle East, Caspian, and Asia Pacific regions. Mr. Rivenbark previously worked for Dresser Industries, Halliburton, and Enventure Global Technology in various sales, technical, and management positions. He majored in Applied Science at the University of Alaska-Anchorage with an emphasis on metallurgy. Mark is a member of SPE as well as IADC and has authored over 20 technical papers and various articles for industry publications. He has also served on numerous SPE committees. Most recently he has been selected to serve on the Technical Program Committee for the ninth biennial IADC/SPE Asia Pacific Drilling Technology Conference, scheduled 9-11 July 2012, in Tianjin, China.
