#Refineries poised to close down in #US, more to open in #Asia
In Philadelphia, 2 refineries have closed down with a third one on its way. The US Congress worries that this may cause the US to be more dependent on foreign sources for gasoline and diesel fuel.
Asia, which is poised to become the global hub for refining is currently going through influxes of refining projects as the region is poised to witness a rapid increase in oil consumption.
Global refining growth is expected to increase from 2011-2016.
For an opportunity to discuss investment, partnership, growth and operational strategies for refining projects across the oil, gas and petrochemical sector, join the Asia Refining Summit 2012 which will bring together senior executives from NOCs, IOCs, and government officials be held in:
Singapore – September 17, 2012
Bangkok – December 3, 2012
Shanghai – March 4, 2013
