Rapidly Growing Demand For #Oil Reaching #JustinBieber-like Proportions
A tongue-in-cheek article posted on It’s Energy, Stupid humorously compares our rapidly growing demand for oil and Justin Bieber. The article states that “energy experts agree that the world’s consumption of oil will rise exponentially in the next 20-30 years with the emergence of economies in Eastern Asia and South America, coupled with the increased demand for oil that accompanies a growing economy.”
The article then mentions “Experts in the industry have compared the massive explosion in oil consumption to Canadian singing sensation Justin Bieber, saying that in time, the immense demand for oil will rival the world’s insatiable desire for the teen heartthrob. ‘The Bieber’, as he is known in some circles has been one of the most influential and polarizing figures in modern media, seemingly controlling the course of worldwide events with a swish of his immaculate bangs.”
