Santos and Eastern Star Gas ignites new interest in small-medium #QLD #CSG players #coalseamgas

I’ve found some interesting articles recently on SMH and The Australian outlining the impact of Santos’ play for Eastern Star Gas, identifying this transaction as welcome relief to the hesitancy displayed by investors towards CSG in the past year.  Read more about this stimulation to the CSG industry here.

With the introduction of a #carbonprice in Australia #gas is presenting an increasingly attractive alternative to coal generation nationally, and #LNG presents one of the most attractive power generation options internationally.  Within Australia CSG is a resource exponentially increasing in value.  Small to medium players are being steadily consumed by the big players in the industry, with everyone joining in the guessing game as to who will be next.
