Access to South-Eastern Europe through TAP #GWIC

TAP

In a recent article posted by the Trend News Agency, TAP Spokesman Lisa Givert states “The connection of the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (IAP), a major regional natural gas project, to the Trans Adriatic Pipeline system will provide the direct delivery of the Azerbaijani gas to many countries in Southeast Europe.”

Possibilities are currently being explored in regards to connecting the IAP to the TAP system, through the recently signed Tirana a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation (MOUC).  Through the connection of pipeline systems, “TAP will be able to supply gas to major markets in South-Eastern Europe, including Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania and Hungary.”  To read the full article, click here

TAP is currently one of six sponsors for Gas Infrastructure World Caspian 2011. The conference will take place on 21-23 September 2011 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
