Merck & Sanofi Pasteur: Complex Partnerships – Collaborating effectively in the development of a hexavalent combination vaccine
One of my personal favourite presentations at this year’s 12th annual World Vaccine Congress Washington, was the unique and very interesting co-presented talk from 2 of the biggest players in the vaccine industry, Merck & Sanofi Pasteur.
It proves that partnering is the way forward in this industry as well, and what better example to follow than theirs.
Both presenters, Anne Aunins (Merck) and Christian Steber (Sanofi Pasteur) talked us through their internal processes and the very successful communication plan they follow to keep everything on track and continue to focus their efforts into what matters.
During their talk they touched upon the fundamentals of this collaboration and talked us through:
- The importance of combination vaccines in simplifying paediatric immunization and improving coverage
- Lessons learned and next steps
