Vaccine Co-development opportunities: collaboration on another level
Dr Parks joined us at the 12th annual World Vaccine Congress in Washington DC last April sharing his views on how a small vaccine biotech can tackle the industry with novel co-development opportunities and collaborate on another level.
Dr Parks brings over twenty-five years in biomedical research, product development, executive management, and international venture capital experience to Hawaii Biotech, the company of which he is the President & CEO.
During his presentation he talked to us about 4 very distinct and interesting aspects of co-development:
- The major hurdles for co-development and how to overcome data sharing issues
- Access to and ownership of assets, intellectual property rights – what are the options?
- Freedom to operate with the combination component not owned by the developer of the combination product
- Market access / reimbursement challenges and opportunities within a collaboration
