The presentation covered:
- Whilst the ferret is the Gold Standard animal model, the lack of immunological reagents limits use
- Using genome sequence data we have produced a microarray assay for cytokines
- Pilot studies have shown immune response to natural infection
- Prospects for designing vaccines which give a “natural” immune response will be discussed
