Paul Rotter “The Flipper”

Paul Rotter, sometimes referred to as the most successful trader in the world, is just as famous for his trading track record as he is for his air of mystery. Even since the exposure of his identity, there still has not been ample knowledge available about him. He has given a few interviews and his past has been pieced together, but even now when I was researching this profile piece – I came across plenty of forums titled ‘Who is Paul Rotter’?’ ‘Does anyone know anything about the flipper?’ To say that Paul Rotter took advantage of the anonymity of cyber space is something of an understatement.

Paul Rotter attributes much of his success (and his coping with loss) to psychological strength and says there is no tool more valuable to a trader. As he is certainly one of the biggest traders in the world, and plays in the big circles, he is definitely allowed to make bold statements such as this, but do you agree – do you think that mental strength is the most valuable tool a trader can acquire?
