Financial messaging

Network connectivity and its ability to fast, stably and accurately deliver trading order messages and signals are extremely crucial to the performance of high frequency trading strategies.

In order to answer increasing market demands, quite a few companies recently pushed their innovative products related to messaging protocols. For example, Blue Trading Systems chose to embed Informatica for ultra low latency messaging because Informatica supports multiple transport protocols, which enables network administrators to easily and dynamically select the best protocol for various messaging configurations. This will allow customers to leverage existing protocols and switch selection based on given network architecture.

Earlier in a multi-vendor benchmark test with IBM, Solarflare demonstrated that their off-the-shelf Ethernet and IP network equipment using standard Ethernet and UDP protocols can be used by engineers to build low-latency, highly-deterministic systems that achieves near zero jitter. This, again, showcases Solarflare’s OpenOnload application acceleration middleware and its application transparency and protocol richness in 100s of demanding, mission-critical production environments.

The Trading Show Chicago 2012 is a premier trading industry event that helps traders and engineers keep up with the latest technology innovations, including in network connectivity and trading messaging protocols. What’s more, industry leading companies will be there to demonstrate the power of their latest products.
