#Investing on #human #sentiment
Integrating human sentiment with investment decisions has long been challenging. On the one hand, “herd mentality” is a matter of fact and does possess the power to move the market. On the other hand, human emotions are by nature hard to predict and, therefore, difficult to capitalize on.
AlphaGenius is a technology and investment company. What makes it different from others is that it collects and analyzes data from the social Internet for the purpose of achieving above market investment returns. By crawling social websites to collect and curate data and analyzing it alongside traditional economic indicators, AlphaGenius is able to produce statistical investing models from proprietary, cloud-based engine.
In this way, AlphaGenius generates a different tool to help investment decisions and created a way to take advantage of the collective consciousness of the world. For example, the Fear Meter developed by AlphaGenius is able to extract sentiment data and reveals a bearish or bullish approach to the market in the coming days.
Mr. Randy Saaf, Co-Founder and CEO/CIO of AlphaGenius, will share his understanding and strategy of sentiment investing at the Quant Invest Chicago 2012 conference, which is part of the Trading Show Chicago 2012.
