#Vietnam – #WTC Danang’s commercial components take shape
Mixed-use commercial development, #World Trade Centre Danang, will include Vietnam’s first retail mall to feature a department store.
Images for the first retail mall in Vietnam to include a department store has been released as work commences for the commercial components of World Trade Centre Danang.
The mixed-use development is undertaken by VinaCapital Commercial Centre Ltd, which has appointed global architecture, urbanism and design practice Broadway Malyan to design the project following an international competition.
Occupying a high-profile site facing the Han River, the World Trade Centre Danang is a mixed-use retail, commercial, residential and hotel development that broke ground in early 2008. After topping out the 32-storey, 225-unit residential building Azura Tower in 2011, the project is proceeding with the remaining commercial components.
One of the highlights of World Trade Centre Danang, which occupies a total of nine hectares, is a 46,600 sq m retail mall that is the first in the country to include a department store on the premises.
Vietnam is pipped to do well in the long run, offering opportunities to capitalise on long-term growth predicted in the country, along with the wider region. Increased investment through growing economic integration between ASEAN countries is expected to come.
