#Hospitality real estate – #Serviced apartments
Hear Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd as he shares insights in a 20-minutes case study that allow developers and investors to gain updates on the risks and opportunities for serviced apartment field in the hospitality real estate industry. Mr. Choe will be speaking at Real Estate Investment World Asia 2012 conference, taking place from 26 – 28 June at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Mr Choe Peng Sum, 46, brings with him 20 over years of experience in the hospitality industry. As Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd, he has overall charge of the expansion and business performance for Frasers’ chain of serviced residences worldwide.
Under Mr Choe’s stewardship, Frasers Hospitality has become the second largest branded operator of serviced residences in Singapore. Frasers has since expanded its management of gold standard serviced residences internationally to major gateway cities from Singapore, to London, Paris, Glasgow, Seoul, Tokyo, Manila, Bangkok, Sydney, Dubai, Bahrain, Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Shenzhen.
Mr Choe started his career in the hospitality industry when he joined Shangri-La International in 1981, being awarded the Shangri-La scholarship. Mr Choe took up positions in Singapore and China for the Shangri-La Group. He returned to Singapore in 1996 to start the hospitality arm of Fraser & Neave Ltd.
Mr Choe graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from Cornell University (New York). He was awarded the National Dean’s List (US) during his university tenure as well as the Phi Kappa Phi for academic excellence. Other special achievements include being the first runner-up of the Young Hotel Executive of the Year (Singapore) in 1991 and being awarded the Order of Foreign Inspector Status (Shanghai, China) in 1995.
Mr Choe is married with two daughters and enjoys reading and working out at the gym.
