#Parramatta City Council adopting #five-year economic development strategy to create 10,000 jobs
According to recent Parramatta Sun news, "Robert Lang, Chief Executive Officer of Parramatta City Council, said that is the reason the council has adopted a five-year economic development strategy aimed at bringing jobs to the city centre and set its jobs creation goal at 10,000.”
“Dr Lang said 8500 jobs had been created in the past five years, making it [Parramatta] the second fastest growing city in NSW.”
"If we’re going to keep up with residential growth in western Sydney, we will need to create as many jobs as we were aiming to create in the Civic Place redevelopment every five years," he said.
"We need to establish Parramatta as a competitive business place, have plenty of commercial property available for businesses, but also create a vibrant environment, which people find attractive."
