Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is a Special Purpose Vehicle entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the project.
N. Sivasailam, Managing Director at BMRCL, spoke at the MetroRail Asia 2012 conference on the status position of Phase 1, as well as an overview of Phase 2. The Phase-I (42.3km) and Phase-II (72.10km), together will create a metro network of 114.40km, with 101 stations – 80 elevated, 19 underground, and 2 at-grade.
