Rail Cards now available to Indonesia’s train commuters
State Railway Operator Kereta Api Indonesia, has recently partnered with with Bank Negara Indonesia and state-run Telekomunikasi Indonesia, to launch the new Rail Card, a prepaid electronic swipe card. In the past, commuters would need to queue to buy a ticket before they board the train. Now, with the new Rail Card, they can now purchase the tickets whenever they wanted at convenient locations. What’s more, the card can be top up at all Bank Negara ATMs and other cooperating merchants. (news)
