#Scomi Engineering to bid for #rail project in Chennai, India
Malaysia-based Scomi Engineering is hopeful for its bid for the 111km monorail project in Chennai, India, the country’s fifth most populous state. If successful, this will be Scomi’s biggest monorail project till date. According to the Country President, Kanesan Velupillai, Scomi is currently vying for 2 key monorail projects in Chennai and Delhi. (press source)
Previously, Scomi lodge a milestone by building India’s first monorail in Mumbai, a 19.54km monorail system commencing from Gadge Maharaj Chowk to Chembur through Wadala. It has recently completed its first technical test run in February this year.
