The launch of “Citibank Express” signifies a transformation of banking channels in Asia. Linking both physical and digital banking channels, this marks Citibank’s first step towards being the world’s first digital bank. Citibank branches in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines are amongst the first few Asian countries to experience next-generation banking.
These smart ATMs have biometric capabilities for customer identity authentication. With the new Citibank Express system, it will allow customers to do almost all their banking transactions without visiting a branch, including opening accounts and applying for loans, cards and cashier’s checks and even video conferencing with the bank. Customers can also start a transaction on a computer or a mobile device and complete it on Citibank Express.
Citibank Express machines are also equipped with near field communication capabilities as well as scanning and embossing functions to allow for future roll-outs of functions such as instant printing of credit and ATM cards. Please read full article here
