The Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is introducing a brand new way to help them attract more consumers. Using the RFID technology, Disney World is bringing in a wristband that aims to provide a convenient and a personalized approach for visitors. Dubbed as the Disney’s MagicBand, it spells good news for families that detest waiting in queues by replacing tickets and credit cards. Bringing hotel room keys, waiting at rides ticketing booth and the hassle of bringing cash for merchandise payments will also soon be a thing of the past.
Disney is all set to win more consumers with its new smartphone app called My Disney Experience. Visitors can pre-select various options that would help tailored to specific needs of the families and feed personal details to make character meet-and-greets more personalized.
MagicBand will also help to keep track of theme-park visitors as it allows Disney to be informed of consumers’ preferences thus helping Disney to enhance their visitors’ experience in future.
