Second #NFC city in France announced

Near Field Communications (NFC) will be rolled out in the city of Strasbourg next month. This follows the first major city-wide deployment of NFC services in Nice last year.

The services will begin in Strasbourg on October 17, reports Les Echos.

And European telco Orange, who led the Nice deployment, will again be involved in Strasbourg.

The Head of Emerging Standards at Orange, Thierry Barba, will join representatives from Telecom Italia, the European Payments Council and the NFC Forum at Australia’s first dedicated NFC conference in March.
