HM Nerurkar of Tata Steel appointed as President of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
Mr. H M Nerurkar, Managing Director at Tata Steel will take the position as President of the Indian Institute of Metals (IMM) from 2012-13. His tenure began on 1 August 2012. Mr Nerukar has over 20 years of experience in the areas of quality control, steel and primary mills, marketing, supply chain and more, before joining the Tata Steel Board as an Executive Director in April 2009, and was promoted to Managing Director of India and SEA in October 2009. His business acumen lies in identifying new business opportunities for accelerated growth.
The IIM holds a membership of over 10,000 representing Metals, Materials and Minerals companies and serves the interests of students, scientists, researchers and industry professionals.
