Special report: Asia Pacific Coal Mining Fiscal Regime
Did you know that in 2011, the APAC region contributed approximately 67%
towards global coal production?
According to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy for 2011, APAC had 292.5 billion metric tons of commercially exploitable coal, accounting for more than a third(35.3%) of global coal reserves. China’s share was 14% while Australia, India, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand made up the rest.
