#Solar power from space

As solar is becoming one of the leading renewable energy sources, engineers in Glasgow are working on a project to build space based solar energy systems which send power back to earth.

This would be able to happen during the day or night and would involve launching a power station into space. The process would concentrate the sun and then beam the energy back to earth. What would be positive is that the energy could be sent to remote, or hard to get to regions with the biggest issue being how to get the structure into space.
