When conducting research with Andrew Chung, Partner at Khosla Ventures, we discussed the trends for cleantech in the Asia region. Chung will be participating as the keynote speaker at the upcoming Clean Technology Investment World Asia event, taking place in Singapore on June 27-30 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.

Khosla Ventures, a ventures firm established by the famous investor Vinod Khosla, announced in Fall of 2011 that it had closed a $1.05 billion venture fund, half of which is to be invested in clean technology. Despite the recent talk amongst investors regarding the risk and uncertain returns from cleantech investments, only fuelled by headliners like the failure of Solyndra, Khosla  Ventures remains constant in its belief that investing in cleantech is in fact worthwhile and data continues to confirm the strong growth of the sector in the Asian region.

Khosla is among the many investors who will be sharing on their investment appetites and strategies. Hear where they think the money to be made is, and what they are looking for in growing companies and new technologies. Other firms participating include: BP Alternative Energy Ventures, Korea Post, GE Capital Asia Pacific, Keytone Ventures, Sumitono Corporation and many more… View the complete program here.

Join Clean Technology Investment World Asia in June and learn how Andrew Chung and the Khosla team are planning for 2012 into 2013 and how they are engaging Asia and viewing cleantech opportunities there.
