The Importance of Data Storage

Where and how companies store their data is important, for example I have just been reading about how a big storm in Virginia  affected the data centres and cloud computing services of Instagram, Netflix, and Pinterest (tapscape, June 30, 2012). The emergence of cloud computing is an attractive proposition for many companies today, storing data in the cloud (over the internet) can  improve efficiency and access, and it is a growing trend among both vendors  and business, but questions around data security and data ownership may need to be addressed, and lets not forget the issue of storms disrupting your services.
