#MDM (Master Data Management) – improving business performance?

Can master data management (MDM) really be the key to improving your business processes and overall performance management? For the growing number of organisations investing in MDM, the answer is “YES!”.
Data management professionals are becoming increasingly interested in defining the link between MDM, business process management (BPM), and corporate performance management (CPM), as a recent Gartner survey uncovered. “Gartner says 49% of survey respondents cited process improvements as the key business priority driving interest in MDM”.
It seems that the challenge for businesses today is in leveraging the collective strengths of effective MDM, CPM and BPM programmes. Indeed, many organisations are still to venture into all 3 areas simultaneously.
According to Gartner data management analyst Andrew White, "If you are doing all three, you are certainly innovators.
