From the results we discovered that:
- Customer engagement is a greater challenge than ever before across all industries, and customer strategy is now a primary focus for the vast majority of them.
- Whilst consumers are quick to engage with the continual emergence of new networking platforms, businesses continue to fall behind in embracing these tangible opportunities to build customer relations.
- The benefits to be leveraged through improved data acquisition, building customer intelligence and developing an in-depth understanding of consumer behaviour are immense, yet the ‘how to’ poses a key challenge for many businesses.
- Whereas last year customer acquisition was a primary focus for businesses, now the focus is more on customer retention and the ability to generate more value from existing customers.
