Discussing Army Sponsored Regenerative Medicine Research at Stem Cells USA
The US Army is committed to facilitating the return of soldiers who have experienced a trauma either to civilian life or back to active duty, says Colonel John Scherer. The Army’s Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine Research Program’s number one focus is on treating injuries to the extremities. They provide funding and conduct research on regenerative medicine technologies for these traumatic injuries, and additionally focus on prosthetic development, pain management, and restoration of sensory systems.
