Video: John Crowley of Amicus Therapeutics presents opening remarks at World Orphan Drug Congress USA 2012

John Crowley, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Amicus Therapeutics, presented the opening remarks at World Orphan Drug Congress USA earlier this year.

As well as Amicus Therapeutics, Mr. Crowley has also held senior positions at Orexigen Therapeutics, Genzyme Therapeutics, and Novazyme Pharmaceuticals. Indeed, he founded Novazyme, a company that was developing a novel treatment for Pompe disease, in large part due to the diagnosis of this rare disease in two of his children.

As such, John Crowley is certainly more than qualified to speak on orphan drugs, from the perspective of the caregiver and the perspective of industry.
