Twitter: Top 5 to follow if you’re interested in cell culture and cell therapy

I’m going to be honest with you. I’m not an expert on cell culture or cell therapy. Whether upstream or downstream, cell culture processes are not my forte. So, in an attempt to learn more about this industry, so that I in turn can bring you all some valuable information on this sector, I ended up on Twitter this afternoon.

What I found was a large community of people engaging with each other on Twitter, sharing up to date commentary on new technologies and applications – essentially advancements that can help your business improve bio-processing efficiency, optimize R&D, reduce production time and minimize costs. That’s a whole lot of potential!

These were the 5 Twitter handles that I found particularly informative. This list is by no means exhaustive, and feel free to add additional Twitter handles to the comment fields below!

1. @CellCultureDish: This is the Twitter handle for The Cell Culture Dish, which is a great blog to check out for up to date information on the cell culture community.
2. @celltherapy: This Twitter account belongs to Lee Buckler, who is a blogger, analyst, consultant and entrepreneur in the cell therapy and cell-based regenerative medicine industry.
3. @LRMN: AKA the London Regenerative Medicine Network, which is a group that brings the cell therapy and regenerative medicine community together.
4. @Prof_ChrisMason: We all know this guy! Professor Chris Mason of University College London is an expert on cell and gene therapies, and has a lot of interesting info to share with his followers.
5. @CellTherapyNews: This is the Twitter account for Cell Therapy News, a weekly e-newsletter dedicated to providing the latest information affecting cellular therapies.

Whilst the above are very informative, the most unexpected tweet about cell culture came from author Anne Rice! Yes, that Anne Rice, who wrote Interview With A Vampire! I guess cell culture must be a hot topic if it is on everyone’s radar, right?
