The Evolution of the Broad Chemical Biology Informatics Platform: From screening to lead optimization
Follow Andrea C. De Souza, Director of Informatics and Data Analysis at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as she brings you through the steps her organization has taken from data management to decision support.
As the Director of Informatics & Data Analysis, she leads a team of inter-disciplinary software and application engineers that provide a range of informatics services, allowing scientists to capture, analyze, retrieve and publish their data. In addition to that, Ms De Souza plays a leadership role in guiding her team for the support of drug discovery, development, manufacturing and commercialization at Amgen, Cytokinetics, ID Business Solutions & Syntex/Roche. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology from UC Davis and a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from USF.
The scope of Ms De Souza’s presentation at the BioPharma Asia Convention 2011 included:
• Master data management/controlled vocabulary
• Data capture and analysis: Diversity oriented synthesis, screening and assay data capture
• Decision support: Chemical and biological data integration
