Mayor of Miami opens Terrapinn LatAm Start Up Battle 2013
As part of Terrapinn’s annual Private Equity Latin America & Real Estate Latin America 2013 conference, the team partnered up with the LAB Miami to run a break-out venture capital afternoon with a competition for the Top 10 Start Ups in Latin America. The conference saw over 280 attendees from across Latin America, the US and Europe attend and some of the top funds, investors, angel investors and entrepreneurs.
For the Start Up Battle, we were honored to have the Mayor of Miami open the session – Tomás Regalado – who is a huge business figurehead in Miami and a big advocate of small business start ups and entrepreneurs. Mr. Regalado officially opened the Start Up Battle, which then commenced into 5 minute pitches from 10 of the hottest start ups in Latin America, to our panel of 4 judges and audience.
We’re excited to announce that the winners of the 2013 Start Up LatAm battle were:

Congratulations! Prizes included: a return flight to New York, fast tracked access for Start-Up Chile, meetings with ff Venture Capital, press features and more.
