Marc Syz joined Syz & Co Hong Kong to develop the Asian expansion strategy of the group. The Syz group is an award winning Swiss financial institution specialised in Private Banking, Asset Management and Investment Funds. Prior to joining the Syz group Marc Syz was Head of Capital Markets & Equity Sales at Union Bancaire Privée in Geneva, Switzerland. He was the CIO for the proprietary investments of the Bank’s Trading and Treasury division managing a long/short equity hedge fund. As an entrepreneur at heart, he successfully built the active advisory and direct access trading for the bank’s high net worth clients and independent asset managers. Marc Syz started as a derivatives trader on the currency and precious metals markets at UBP. Prior to that, he worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Structured Products division. Marc Syz studied Mathematics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and holds a Business Administration degree from the London School of Economics.
