The German #E.ON expanding to #Brazil
European companies prefer to invest in Brazil at the moment. With the economic crisis in Europe, some companies are deciding to expand their presence in the Brazilian market. E.ON, largest publicly traded German utility, will invest $10 billion to buy MPX, power and mining company controlled by billionaire Eike Batista.
The news come from two Brazil-based executives with knowledge of the investment on condition of anonymity. The deal also consists in an additional 18 billion reais (Brazilian currency) to build coal-fired and natural gas-fired power plants in Brazil. Check more details here.
