Assessing how an infrastructure is Green in my opinion means considering the whole impact on the environment, from construction (recycling, material choice, pollution) to operations (renewable energy power systems, high performance and efficiency vehicles) in addition to the benefit that new transportation system (i.e. metro, tram) may have in reducing congestion and pollution.
