ETF experts all aboard!
As part of our Asset Allocation Summit 2012, our ETF and Indexing Investments Day is going to be a definite golden egg, what with all the expertise that is coming on board. We’d like to welcome a few speakers who have put their name down to share with us some of their expertise on ETFs on February 20th, 2012.
Mebane T. Faber, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager, Cambria Investment Management
Mr. Faber is a co-founder and the Chief Investment Officer of Cambria Investment Management. Faber is the manager of Cambria’s Global Tactical ETF (GTAA), separate accounts and private investment funds for accredited investors. M r. Faber is also the co-founder of AlphaClone, an investing research website, the author of the World Beta blog, and the co-author of The Ivy Portfolio: How to Invest Like the Top Endowments and Avoid Bear Markets. He is a frequent speaker and writer on investment strategies and has been featured in Barron’s, The New York Times, and The New Yorker. Mr. Faber graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Engineering Science and Biology. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Chartered Market Technician (CMT).
Andrew Baker, Managing Partner, Tria Investment Partners ![]()
Andrew has 22 years’ wealth management experience, including three years in the UK. Roles have included private client research, product development and management, marketing and general management.
Prior to establishing Tria in 2004, Andrew was Director of Products at Rothschild Australia Asset Management. Other roles have included Head of Corporate Superannuation at CBA.
At Tria, Andrew focuses on research, strategy development, and project managing complex new products and restructures.
Andrew has had several articles published, including two in JASSA discussing the meaning of product management in financial services; and why key people stay at their asset management firms.
