ABN AMRO launches quarterly commodities research with neutral / negative view
The Commodity Research team over at ABN AMRO, which provides specialist coverage of precious, base and ferrous metals, energy and agricultural products have come out with a Quarterly Commodity Outlook.
Some of the key findings in the report is that “commodity prices will weaken in the third quarter due to a synchronised slowdown in global economic growth, although wheat, coffee and some metals should be underpinned by continuing supply/demand imbalances”. The report covers precious metals – which sees gold investment as crowded, an increase in base and ferrous metals demands due to continued Asian urbanisation and industrialisation, and an imbalance in wheat and coffee prices and growing sugar consumption that will lead to price rises.
