Understanding your ETFs composition- a must do for investors

There are a whole sea of ETF products being released daily, each vying to differentiate themselves to investors.

With so much buzz surrounding newly released ETF products out there- it’s hard for investors to understand what exactly is inside their ETFs and the consequent tax, regulatory and performance results will be.

This article I read regarding the numerous copper ETFs being released are a prime example- if copper is such a hot investment opportunity- which of the ETFs will be the best play? Should you buy physically-backed? Choose a futures backed ETF? Invest in the mines themselves?

Who can tell since copper’s speculated growth is just that- speculation.

No one can know how it will perform, but the implications of making the right choice of the underlying ETF asset could be huge for any individual.
