Microsoft Goes Hard For Hardware: Video And Specs List for Microsoft Surface

Surface by Microsoft

The specs for the Microsoft Surface are out and it looks like this sleek piece of computer is going to provide some fierce competition for the market dominating iPad. But Microsoft must deliver the whole package if this product is going to be a success. The software king turned turnkey tech provider has taken a note out of Apple’s book and gone hard for hardware. Microsoft has traditionally left the hardware component to OEMs such as Dell and HP, but the modern consumer is looking for a one-stop-shop when purchasing the latest technology and Microsoft has finally started to tune in. The Surface is promising the holly trinity of technology – software, hardware and apps, allowing the manufacturer to control delivery and provide a premium user experience at ever step. You know what they say, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”

Along with the release of the Surface, Microsoft will be pushing the ‘Windows Store’, a portal for Windows 8 apps. The support of a place to purchase quality music, movies, games and more is essential for the success of any device going up against the sea of apps available in the iTunes AppStore and Google Play Store.
