Traditional brick and mortar struggling against online clothing retailers
For the last few years, store owners of brick and mortar clothing stores have been crossing their arms while online retailers have been slowly eating away at profits for every other type of store from consumer electronics to books, with the confidence that customers just have to touch and try garments without purchasing.
A truck has been driven through the storefront of that belief and store owners are pulling their hair out.
According to research firm Forrester, online clothes shopping is forecast to grow faster than any other category this year with the US clothes sector being expected to grow by 20% in 2012, putting it just second place after consumer electronics.
As online clothing stores get bigger, so do their orders. Besides brick and mortar store owners, I immediately see two types of people jumping with glee. These are:
CEOs of fulfilment companies
CEOs of E-commerce solution providers
With this huge influx of low bearing fruit now ready for the picking, the best way of getting your fill is by getting in front of these online retailers and businesses!
