Singapore launch eduLab at Academy of Singapore Teachers

Last week, Mr Hawazi Daipi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower launched the eduLab@AST at the iCTLT conference. Acting as a “living lab” for teachers to experiment with new technologies, it will showcase experiments trialed in selected schools, and provides a space for the testing and dissemination of mature innovations and successful practises. Singapore has been focusing on the development of technology for education. Back in 2008, the Ministry of Education embarked on a FutureSchool@Singapore plan, where selected schools will be chosen to leverage on state-of-the-art infocomm technologies to enhance existing curriculum and pedagogies. Terrapinn will be organising a education technology conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September this year. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for teachers in Asia to learn about the successful integration of technologies in schools from around the region.
