Singapore ICT firms to move into Indonesia and Philippine education industry
International Enterprise (IE) Singapore and Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) have planned for a joint mission to help small and medium (SMEs) infocomm technology (ICT) firms in Singapore to penetrate into the growing education market in Philippines and Indonesia. 5 local ICT firms have recently made their way to Manila, Philippines, last March to showcase their products to potential customers, including government agencies and international organisations. Another group of SMEs was in Jakarta, Indonesia at the beginning of this month for a similar mission. They have also visited several ICT-equipped schools to gain market insight and understand the potential of the huge education market. (source)
Terrapinn will be organising a education technology conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September this year. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for teachers in Asia to learn about the successful integration of technologies in schools from around the region.
