In your words
If you asked us what we thought of last week’s Young Minds conference, we’d say that as an event targeted at today’s youth, it was unbeatable in terms of the quality of speakers and standard of presentations. But then we would say that, wouldn’t we? Except we’re not the only ones! Judging from feedback we received from our delegates, everyone had a wonderful time. Here’s what some of you said …
I was blown away with the authenticity and variety of passionate speakers … A spectacular event! Thank you.
Angela Bird, Director/Facilitator/Teacher, The Centre for Creative Evolution
The Young Minds conference is a superb concept. The inspiring speakers offered an adventure on how to ignite our dreams, hopes and minds.

Bronte Wilson, 14 years young school student
Laughter, tears, empathy, warmth, self-reflection, experiential learning, inspiration, optimism and hope: thank you for the best conference I’ve ever attended.
Bethany Paterson, Psychologist, Yorke Peninsula Division of General Practice
Young Minds brought together inspiring speakers with new and important information to help us understand what works for optimising the health and well-being of children and young people and a chance to hear from inspiring young people themselves.
Carolin Wenzel, Public Affairs Manager, The Benevolent Society
Speakers were amazing, every topic and everything was covered and explained in an interesting way. As a student it taught me things from the perspective of adults, teachers, specialists and professionals.
Victoria Sammour, MindMatters Student Facilitator, Mary Mackillop College
Such a very high quality with some very impressive speakers. I enjoyed the fast pace … A fantastic variety of topics and styles of presenting.

While I cam for professional reasons, I found that I got so much inspiration for both my teaching and my own life. Thank you.
Hayley Hoar, Teacher, Somerville House
I enjoyed the mix of information, approaches, stories, format and experience of all the speakers … I LOVED that there were quite a number of young people presenting – more next time.
Kate Cross, Youth Worker, Rural Health, Tasmania
As I work with extremely disadvantaged youth and broken, hurting people, I didn’t expect to be so encouraged and inspired. It has been so uplifting, affirming and confirming of my inner hopes and dreams for the youth I work with and am inspired by every day.
Glenys Schulz, Group co-ordinator/Counsellor, Relationships Australia
I have never cried so much, laughed so hard or been so hugely inspired than at this conference. Thanks … for engaing and captivating me like no-one has done before.
Nilisa Allen, Youth Support Coordinating Program Manager, Downs Industry Schools Co-op (DISCO)
Great to be challenged at so many levels – personally challenged, challenged to think about my work practice, challenged to think about my parenting.
The Very Reverend Jeremy Greaves, Anglican Church, NT
The conference greatly re-affirmed my belief that our young people are extraordinary. That they can achieve anything provided we support them, love them and provide them with the guidance and tools they need to succeed.
