Mobile #pharma technology to help in diabetes management
Mobile technology helps diabetes patients: D.C Chartered Health Plan Inc in the District of Columbia has launched a new text messaging program for 50 of its members. The program will send participants tips about living with diabetes and offers face-to-face support. This is one of the latest ways that the health industry are using mobile technology to improve support to chronic disease patients and offers them a new, simpler way to receive information to help live with their disease. It is hoped that technology like this will have the effect of reducing the number of hospitalisations and emergency room visits.
Do you think that this will have the desired effect? Do you have any successful case study examples?
We are going to have some great case studies examples from Pfizer at Mobile Pharma World Europe 2012. Looking forward to hearing what they have to say.
