airBaltic’s SeatBuddy programme hopes to win friends

Interesting to note in The Economist that Air Baltic’s following in the footsteps of KLM in offering passengers a chance to get a seat next to someone with whom they might have something in common.

Called “SeatBuddy”, the programme offers participants a chance to select between ‘business network’ and ‘easy chat’ or ‘work’ and ‘relax’ for those less inclined to interact.

The system is powered by a crowd called Satisfly who to my mind surely should be sponsoring the World Low Cost Airlines Congress.
